Basic Drawing Techniques I
Instructor: Kris Occhino
Thursdays: March 13 – April 16, 2020
10 am – 12:30 pm
Drawing is the foundation on which artists build their visual arts skills. In this course, students will learn how to analyze and capture their subject’s basic shape and define its form through the use of line, light and shadow, foreshortening and value patterns to help create depth and an interesting composition. Students will use different types of drawing materials: pencils, ink pens and charcoal.
For the first class, students are asked to bring in a favorite small object from home.
This list can all be purchased through Jerry’s Artarama. The total cost is under $50.00 not including tax and shipping. If any other supplies are needed, they will be provided by the instructor.
